The ap has been hard to navigate lately and when I finally clip the digital coupons I want to use, the store doesn't automatically give me the sales price. The store managers are always nice enough to give me an adjustment but this is getting ridiculous. Plus I waste another 15 minutes standing in line at the customer service desk.
The new ebt delivery has been working well. Some minor issues: it does not notify you if items are out of stock. You just have to wonder if they didn't have it or forgot to bring it 🤷♀️ You can't reject substitutions and the substitutions generally aren't good. Like, I guess I unfairly assumed the shopper would know that if someone orders a bunch of gluten-inclusive frozen burritos it's because they don't want gluten-free. Gluten is my life. I AM GLUTEN. I'm going to eat some wheat now.
The previous app was fine and straight forward. I lost deals at the store due to the conversion. This app is too busy/hectic. With all the busy in the world, perhaps going to the grocery store should be a bit less hectic and simply sensible. I'm going to have to retrain myself and then my elderly parent on how to maneuver on this new busy app. Did any one let the store associates know of the change, or only the people in the towers knew? The confusion and frustration at store level was visible.

4/18/22 update seems ok.
It's a bait and switch pricing. Add here, clip there, double clipping each item, then argue at checkout with cashier who says that's what the register says. Pay it and go to customer service argue, again, so phone app, get refunds up to $11.37. So far I've lost $21.45 thinking I was buying it on app pricing. LOVED shopping at safeway, now I take a VALIUM before dealing with app and going to store. GO back to previous app, or get a Woman to fix this.

Just a brutal app that rarely works. Now receiving "authorization error, can't connect my account to the servers" Would rather go back to just the Safeway loyalty card only
